18/04/2008 The cemetery lives (ironically)!!! I finally managed to get a POS tower anchored in Molea and all the cans are being moved over there. I have about 300 of the old cans anchored so far, one of the dev's thinks it looks like some sort of death star made from secure cans. Take a look yourself and let me know what you think.
I have been working down at head office this week, helping prepare the company's website for the latest batch of catalogues. Wasn't what I was expecting at all but good fun all the same. I'm praying that they get me back in to do some analysis for them because the stuff they do on spreadsheets makes me all gooey inside (yes I am sad but I like playing with spreadsheets :S ).
19/02/2008 Still no word from CCP. However because certain things have been clarified I can now move forward with the cemetery. To help decide the best way forward please easy the poll to the right (link now removed) and cast your vote on how this community project should move be administered when the Trinity 1.1 patch is applied. 17/02/2008 Well what a week! Firstly ISD interviewed me about the cemetery then the following Saturday the resulting news story hits. From averaging about 200 hits a day I was getting 3000, a truely fantastic result. Then barely out of the honeymoon period and CCP decide to nerf cans. Now don't get me wrong, anything to reduce lag is great but the way Prism X announced his planned nerf was a little harsh. I don't think he was expecting such a backlash, if I'm honest, neither was I.
So many people jumped to defend my cemetery. I'm truely honoured that people like it enough to actually have an opinion on it. I thank you all. Several people have offered POS stations but I am reluctant to accept these offers because I fear the cemetery will lose its neutrality. The last thing I want is the POS to start firing upon innocent visitors.
I'll know where the future of the cemetery stands by Monday evening. Here is hoping I will be allowed to continue it!
07/01/2008 My poor tortured harddrive failed in a catastrophic way last night so I've taken the plunge and ordered a new PC. It should arrive tomorrow. I spent today desperately trying to recover my data to no avail. I think the spindle has gone. Its times like this I wish I had set a longer skill training.
23/12/2007 I ran my 3rd Eve Pub Quiz last night gave away 401 million ISK in prize money. You can see the chatlog here. It was great fun, I wish I could afford to run smaller ones more often.
09/12/2007 I finally nerfed the Eve-H2G2 project. It was a nice idea but it failed on too many levels. I also pruned a few other pages. That were woefully out of date and crap.
On the plus side I have completely transfered my EvE Cemetery database over to MySQL and PHP, which was a learning cliff to say the least. You can see the fruits of my labours here.
15/10/2007 Added an anti-spam field to my submission form. It's pretty simple but hopefully it will be very effective. I received about 300 spam submissions in a 4 hour period over the weekend.
I plan to do a major, major update to the website soon. It will involve a new shipname list and a database listing all the corpses in my graveyard in Molea. I may also throw in a few new screenshots in the gallery.
06/07/2007 I've been insanely busy with college work recently, hence the lack of updates. I'm going to work on some new galleries over the summer. I may also nerf the Eve H2G2 project, all it does is generate spam. Main thing of note is the addition of Google adverts to help pay for hosting.
09/10/2006 Just fixed the php for the Eve H2G2. Only taken me a year to realise. You can now submit stuff properly here. I really need a tidy up of my site.
12/09/2006 Wow, over 2 months since I last updated. Quickly reading over my last post... well they did in fact take me for a drink, they even bought in pizza's on the last day. No real reason why I'm updating today, just bored while temping for the company that made me redundant 2 months ago. All very strange.
Also just discovered that the postcards I sent to America when me and the other half went camping in Wales were grossly underpaid, so they may never get there. The only hope is that the Royal Mail have sent them via surface mail which can take up to 3 months. Its 50p for postcards. I knew I should have put two stamps on the cards.
13/07/2006 One day left at work. you wouldn't believe I'm leaving, they are piling on the pressure. Unless they have something special planned we aren't even having a leaving drink. Everytime I mention it, they either ignore me or change the subject. Two and a half years there and they don't even want to wish me luck in the future...
Having a bit of a rough time IRL so I might not be on Eve for a few days. Try not to miss me too much :)

20/06/2006 Well its been a turbulant couple of months. Firstly the bad news: the company was put "at risk" of closure, luckily we managed to get a decent package together and save it. To make it viable we had to make some job cuts... I was one of them :(
I am haveing to work until the 30th June 2006 then I'm on this garden leave thing for 4 weeks. After that I have decided to go travelling. I want to do it while I am still young enough to enjoy it. Some further bad news is that the special person in my life will not be able to come with me. Got to figure out something there.
For all of you who weren't aware: I passed my driving test about a month ago and am now well and truely mobile! Some more good news now too: it's my second Eve birthday on the 30th June, I think its the usual party games, fun and frolics in Nakregde. Evemail me ingame if you want to come along!
03/04/2006 I have had a horrible day at work, but I don't care nothing can make this day bad. As a lot of you may know I suffer from terrible eczema. Well last week I happened to glance at a tiny article muttering the impossible. I promptly forgot about it with last week being so busy. Then last night I discover my prayers have been answered. A cure for ezcema. IN MY LIFETIME!!!
I have never been happier. I cried myself to sleep last night. They were tears of joy. Not only could I potentially be cured of my years of torment but my children will never have to suffer as I have. Like I said, nothing else has mattered today. I'm going to go before I start crying again.
28/03/2006 Its our second day in the new offices. They have a much better atmosphere but the days are much longer. Espeacially with the travel time being taken into consideration, yesterday was a 12 hour day. I'm totally exhausted, I am also 100% committed to getting either a new job or more money out of my current one. There is a feeling of being undervalued and massively overworked. I'll write more when I feel more motaviated.

24/02/2006 Meh! I've been running around like a headless blue arsed fly all day. You know one of those days where one small problem is eclipsed by a bigger problem and in turn that problem is dwarfed by the most humongous problem you can imagine. I can't wait until I am going home.
22/02/2006 Well the server is up again, but in the great tradition of Eve updates I'm having trouble patching. Also had some extremely worrying personal news which kept me up half the night. Hopefully I can use Auntie Azia's Emergency Sticky Repair Glue Type Stuff and avoid a major crisis. As my boss likes to say, communication is key. I'm starting to enjoy writing this blog... which is worrying.
I am trying to keep my opinions about major world events to myself because everyone on livejournal who has a blog is IMHO a pretentious arse. Having said that though Britain's distinct lack of success in the Winter Olympics is shocking. At the time of writing we have one silver medal and are tied in 19th place with Bulgaria and Slovakia. Austria aren't doing bad, second in the table with 8 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze. You can view the BBC medals table here.
21/02/2006 I started writing this at 8:43am this morning but got sidetracked by a myriad of IT issues at work. We are now over the halfway point of the server installation. No-one has been in the chatroom at all... its very lonely here. Come say hello in the chatroom!
14/02/2006 There are two days a year which I hate. They are Christmas Day, because I am forced to interact with my family and today, Valentine's Day. I could reiterate what is echoed in millions of blogs all other world, about the rampant commericalism and the relevance of a day where you are supposed to show more love than on any other day, but I won't. I had to break the heart of a very dear friend last night. It hurt a lot, but I think it was definately for the best. I just hope he'll be ok.
Some of you have commented on the fact that all my blogs *shudders* are negative and sound sad. Well I am going to end on some good news, I have met someone special. It's still very much in the early stages of the relationship, but I am the happiest I been for ages. We aren't doing the whole Valentine's thing. Let's just say I have something planned...
07/02/2006 I really hate buses. I left my house at 7:30am, I finally got into work at 9:20am. Nearly an hour late for work, cold and annoyied. I've had to catch 3 buses to come about 3 miles. This one very unhappy Azia.
01/02/2006 Having a nightmare of a day! Just discovered my car tax has run out and still don't have a tax reminder. On top of that I can't find any of the relevant paperwork to do an emergency tax thing. GOD DAMNIT!!! This sort of stuff only ever happens to me :(. I just had to write this to clear my head. Maybe I should turn this into a blog...
