Newbie Frig Tournament

I am trying to organise a one-off PvP tournament for newbies to enter but I am struggling to drum up enough interest. It is going to be held at 19:00 game time on Sunday 2009/11/08 at an undisclosed location in Nakregde. The fight will be hosted in channel eve-cem, non-combatants are welcome to join the channel and watch! There will be about 100m of prize money too, I am undecided on how that will be split as of yet.

The rules are as follows:

  • T1 frigates only
  • T1 modules only, rigs are allowed
  • Only people under 3 months can take part
  • The winner of each match gets to keep the loot
  • Only two people per fight. If it is suspected that external influences are being applied to either combatant the match will be declared void.
  • Matches will last a maximum of 10 minutes. In the result of a draw after this time, the person who inflicted the most damage will be declared the winner.

Just a quick update. The prize has been increased to 1b and the age restriction is increased to 6 months.

I would think that spamming the corporate STI channel would produce meat for the grinder. :) I've been too busy to have any EVE fun lately - hope to see you online soon. -- Kenny Ray PS - I added this blog to my feed reader (google reader), but I had to come all the way out to the home page in order to post a comment. I'm not sure if that is normal or not. It seems like I should have been able to post a comment right off of the page that was linked to from the feed.
